- Everyone will eat them! With kids it can be difficult to find a snack that everyone wants to eat. I make these muffins with the confidence that everyone who tries them ends up loving them and wanting more.

Easy Homemade Sourdough Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin Recipe

Sourdough Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Equipment
- 1 Stand Mixer
- 1 Muffin Pan
- 12 Parchment Muffin Liners
Ingredients
- 5 TBSP Soft butter
- ½ cup Brown sugar
- ½ cup Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1¼ cups Ripe Bananas mashed
- ½ cup Sourdough Discard
- ¼ cup Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1½ tsp Cinnamon
- 1½ cups Whole-wheat Flour
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉.
- Add butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, mashed bananas, sourdough discard, milk, and vanilla together in your stand mixer.

- Into the bowl with the wet ingredients add baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and flour. Slowly add the flour ¼ cup at a time for the best results.

- Once the dough is blended nicely you can add the chocolate chips. Do not overmix or your muffins will be very dense.

- Line the muffin tin with liners of your choice and pour in the batter.

- Bake for 18-22 minutes in the oven. Test that it has cooked through by poking a muffin with a toothpick. If it comes out clean then the muffins are done.

- Allow the muffins to cool complete on a wire rack before removing the liners and eating. The liners will stick if the muffin is still too warm.
