Oreo Valentines with Pink Candy Wafers

This recipe is so fun to make! They turn out beautiful and unique each time. This valentines day treat is extremely beginner friendly because you essentially don’t need any baking skills at all. You can purchase all the items needed (Oreos, wafers, sprinkles etc.) and then just use your creativity to put them all together.
I highly recommend this recipe as one to do with your kids. It is a similar experience to decorating cookies at Christmas time. I like to get all the ingredients out and ready and then we all decorate together. I usually leave the melting process for me to do and then my son will be on sprinkle duty.
This is also a good recipe for gluten-free and vegan eating restrictions because you can easily swap out most of the ingredients for Celiac and vegan friendly options.
Lastly, I love this recipe because they last so long! These are good for 2 weeks after you make them. Not that they actually last that long in our house! We eat them pretty quickly.
Heart Shaped Chocolate Chip Cookies

This no chill cookie recipe can be ready in 30 minutes. This fun Valentine’s Day treat takes a simple chocolate chip cookie recipe and makes it fun and festive!
I really like to texture of these cookies. They are always soft and chewy! You can also freeze the dough and pull it out the morning you are planning on making these cookies and they will still turn out absolutely perfect.
You do need to purchase a heart cookie cutter. I found mine on Amazon for about 12 CAD. However, if you don’t have a heart shaped cookie cutter, you can just make normal cookies and add in the fun Valentine’s Day sprinkles and your cookies will still be an amazing addition to a Valentine’s Day party.
Heart Thumbprint Cookies

Talk about a classic! These buttery thumbprint cookies are so easy to make and they turn out perfect every time.
I love this recipe because the ingredients are so simple. I always have these ingredients in my house so I can whip these up in a hurry if I need to. There are also no special tools needed with this recipe. Just your thumb!
The nostalgia factor is high with this recipe. Every time I make these, they make people smile because everyone has warm fuzzy feelings about thumbprint cookies. The heart shaped jam in the middle is the perfect Valentine’s Day addition to an already wonderful cookie.
Cute Valentine’s Heart Cakes

Aren’t these the cutest little cakes you’ve ever seen? When I found this recipe, I knew I had to try them.
I think these would work well for a Valentine’s Day visit with tea and coffee. I also think these would be an awesome addition to any bridal shower. Simply change the color of the candy melts and you can match these to your theme.
I made the cake portion of the recipe from scratch but Cass recommends using a boxed cake mix to make the recipe as easy as possible. This is actually a great recipe for first time cake bakers because it really is simple and they turn out looking very impressive. This can be a major confidence booster if you are new to baking.
Gluten-Free Strawberry White Chocolate Scones

Looking for a recipe that is a little more fresh and a bit less decadent? Try these gluten-free strawberry white chocolate scones.
Add some freeze-dried strawberry powder to these to make them extra pink and serve them as a special Valentine’s Day breakfast. Another special addition you can add to these is a lemon or honey drizzle.
I love this recipe because it is very versatile and you can add or remove ingredients as you see fit.
I also like this as a gluten-free option because this recipe is not dry at all! Unlike many gluten-free baking recipes, these scones retain their moisture because of the fresh strawberries that are included in the recipe.
